Do I need any technical knowledge?
No. That's the whole point of Mildnode. You answer a few plain-language questions and we take care of the technical work for you.
Are there any subscriptions?
No. Everything is a simple one-time payment. We never sign you up for a recurring plan or charge you automatically.
Do I have to set anything up myself?
No - that's the whole idea. We register a brand-new domain and handle 100% of the technical setup. You never log into a registrar, change any settings, or touch a single DNS record.
Is there anything I need to do after I pay?
Just one quick thing, and it's required by the internet's domain rules (ICANN), not by us: after we register your domain you'll get a "verify your contact information" email from our registrar (Namecheap). Click the link within 15 days to confirm your email address. If you don't, your domain and email can be suspended. It takes a few seconds and only has to be done once.
What about the cost of the domain and mailboxes?
Your new domain's first-year registration is included for standard endings (like .com); premium endings are shown before you pay, and we remind you before it expires. Managed email hosting is included for the first year. After that we email you a simple link to renew your domain and email for another year - never an automatic charge.
Which email do you use - can I use Outlook or Gmail?
We run a managed, private email platform and host your mailboxes on your own domain. You don't sign up for anything. Your email works in webmail and in every major email app - Outlook, Apple Mail, the Gmail app and more - over standard IMAP/SMTP.
Who owns everything?
You own your domain - it's registered in your name and you're its legal owner. Your mailboxes are hosted and managed by us on your domain as part of the service, so you never have to administer an email platform. If you ever leave, you keep your domain.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Anything sensitive is delivered through a secure, one-time link rather than plain email, and we never expose your private details.
